Escalation Despite the Truce: Israeli Forces Continue Ceasefire Violations in Gaza on Day 72
Israeli forces continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement on day 72, carrying out multiple attacks across various areas of the Gaza Strip, despite the ongoing truce.
Israeli military helicopters opened fire on the eastern areas of Gaza City, accompanied by artillery shelling targeting the same locations.
Heavy gunfire was also reported from Israeli armored vehicles northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while Israeli artillery shelled areas east of the camp.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened machine-gun fire southeast of Khan Younis, in addition to gunfire east of Rafah. Artillery shelling also struck eastern Khan Younis amid continued escalation.
Severe Weather and Building Collapse
Amid the impact of severe weather conditions, Gaza’s Civil Defense managed to rescue five civilians, including a child and two women, after the roof of a residential building collapsed in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City.
The three-story building, belonging to the Labed family, collapsed on Second Street in Sheikh Radwan. Rescue teams reported that difficult conditions at the site have so far prevented access to three other individuals who remain missing.
